Statistik-Absolventin gewinnt Fürst-Preis des Statistischen Bundesamts

Kerstin Erfurth (Mitte des Bilds) hat 2018 ihren Master Statistics absolviert. Gleichzeitig war sie die erste Studentin, die das Zusatzzertifikat „European Master Official Statistics (EMOS)“ in Berlin erworben hat. Jetzt ist sie mit dem Fürst-Preis des Statistischen Bundesamts für eine herausragende wissenschaftliche Arbeit mit Bezug zur amtlichen Statistik geehrt worden. Die ausgezeichnete Arbeit mit dem Titel “Gütebeurteilung und Einsatz simulierter Geokoordinaten bei der regionalen Analyse zur Bundestagswahl 2017“ findet man unter dem Link https://www.dropbox.com/s/vmdzjo13t5pfmh5/Erfurth_Masterarbeit_final.pdf?dl=0. Ihr EMOS Praktikum hat Frau Erfurth im Amt für Statistik Berlin/Brandenburg absolviert. Sie war in der Wahlnacht dabei und hat aktuelle Wahlkarten für Berlin  produziert. Statistics graduate wins the Fürst Prize of the Federal Statistical Office

Kerstin Erfurth (center of the picture) completed her M.Sc. Statistics in 2018. At the same time, she was the first student who obtained the additional certificate “European Master Official Statistics (EMOS)” in Berlin. Now, she has been awarded the Fürst Prize of the Federal Statistical Office for outstanding scientific work related to official statistics. Her EMOS internship was completed in the Office of Statistics Berlin/Brandenburg. She was there on election night and has produced current election cards for Berlin. EMOS Core Module “Official Statistics”

EMOS-Core Module “Official Statistics“ is offered this Winter term as a one week intensive course!

The European Master of Official Statistics (EMOS) is an additional certificate which can be achieved with a special profile of your study. The program offers interesting internships and master thesis projects. This extra certificate will be useful for your future carrier. The mandatory EMOS Core Module on Official Statistics (Module 8 (Nutzung der Amtlichen Statistik in den Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften WPM 223)) is offered this winter term as a one-week intensive course starting at Monday 11. Nov. 10h in HS 112 Spandauer Str.
